"A method of painting is a natural growth out of a need. I want to express my feelings rather than illustrate them. Technique is just a means of arriving at a statement" - Jackson Pollock

This quote stood out to me because I am very interested in expressing my feelings toward Dodd Wood through brush strokes and creation of textures rather than illustrating them across a canvas. Portraying a feeling within paintings, is something that i am very interested in and is a theory that runs through my work.
