Jane Rushton work is rooted in the particularities of landscapes and is underpinned by the processes at play within the landscapes. Her work offers a consideration of encounters of being within a landscape rather than portray them directly as seen. I find this philosophy very interesting, and similar to my thinking process within my artwork. Looking closely at landscapes and building a painting through colours and textures.
