Amanda Hoskins is a landscape artist. I am really interested in how Hoskins uses her sketchbook as a diary to record her days spent walking and observing the Cornish landscape where she captures moments that have interested her, then how she takes the information she has gathered and uses it to make interesting mixed media, oil, acrylic, pastels and watercolour pieces. Hoskins creates several pieces at at once, where she builds colours and textures to bring her sketches to life. I have adopted some of her process into my work, through my uses of materials and the way in which i record everything in my sketchbook.
