Georgie Mason

Georgie Mason, abstract Land/Seascape painter, using her relationship with the Suffolk Countryside as inspiration for her work. Using a verity of materials to build layers and textures, for example: Ployfilla, mud, painting with a wide range of equipment from washing up brushes to windscreen wipers, using an energetic and instinctual method.

Mason's paintings have energy, depth and an organic feel, which is something that I'm trying to capture within my work. I admire the way she uses big brushes to create bold marks. From Looking at Georgie Mason's work, I inspire to experiment with the materials and to think outside of the box when it comes to how I paint.
